Liberal Arts.

Foreign language, fine art, music and theater.

Foreign language studies, annual fine art show, summer gardening program, theater program, and a music program with private instruction available are only a small sampling of what QCMS students of all ages experience in our rich and diverse Liberal Arts program.

Foreign Language

Our classrooms are instructed in English.  On occasion we have students join our classrooms for whom English is a second language.  These children are welcomed into the classroom where English language instruction occurs throughout the day from teachers and fellow students alike in a natural unfolding process.

We offer language instruction through programming called Specials.  In the past year we have offered:

Spanish- Español

Chinese- /漢語

We also have French, Polish, German, and Russian languages introduced in an informal setting to many of our classrooms through our bilingual teachers.  For example, one class is currently learning Frère Jacques, a well-known children's song,  in one of our classrooms in French, German and Polish.

Fine Art

The art instruction is integrated into each classroom, making the creative process available to the student throughout the day. A sampling of he latest and greatest from our talented students is highlighted.

Music & Performance Art

Music instruction is provided to each age group from Toddler on up.  Each year the upper elementary classes produce and perform an annual theatrical production.

"The child is truly a miraculous being, and this should be felt deeply by the educator."
